MARKETING

I started my career in marketing when I joined the Before You Were Blonde acapella anti-choir back in the mid-90s and they needed a publicist. I thought it sounded interesting so I volunteered for the role, having little idea what it actually entailed. After a while, the project manager at the arts organisation funding BYWB - Carclew Youth Arts Centre - said that they would start paying me as I was doing the job of a professional publicist. This was a tremendous vote of confidence in an inexperienced but enthusiastic young woman and I have never forgotten it.

Since those early days, I have worked as the senior marketing person at the following companies:

  • Makers Empire (Australia)

  • Australian Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai (Shanghai)

  • Chunky Move Dance Company (Melbourne)

  • Axis Visual Arts Service (England)

  • Carclew Youth Arts Centre (Australia)

My marketing jobs have included brand identity, digital marketing, content creation, publicity, PR, promotions, print and digital advertising, marketing materials, website development and management, social media, sales funnels, SEO, lead magnets, event management, sponsorship, grant applications and more.
